Monday Night Practice

The band welcomes anyone interested in learning to play the Great Highland Bagpipes or Drums. Anyone interested in learning more about our organization is encourged attend one of our weekly practices. The Band Practices every Tuesday Night from 6pm to 8pm. Practices are held at St Joseph Parish Gymnasium located at 11909 3rd St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Pipe Major Brett Lamb, ADPB


Our bands Pipe Major, Brett Lamb, offers lessons for beginnig to intermediate students every Tuesday and Thursday Evening at The Chapel located at 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304. If you are interested in learning to play the Great Highland Bagpipes please email: Brett Lamb.


Brett Lamb is a Gradute of The College of Wooster and begain playing the Great Highland Bagpipes at age 15. Originally intructed by Mary McCoy he also attend the Ohio Scotish Arts School summer program throughout High School. As Pipe Major he has lead the band for seven years, including performances at the Malvern Great Trails Festival, multiple regional Burn's Nights, festivals, parades, and two performances with the Tuscarawas Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Conductor Eric Benjamin.





Ruth Chapman


The ADPB is also proud to recomend local Musician Ruth Chapman, if you would like to take lessons with Ruth feel free to email: Ruth Chapman.

Ruth Chapman started on the chanter when she was 7 years old. She has advanced from practice chanter competitions to winning and placing in grade 3 categories such as the jig, strathspey and reel, hornpipe, 6/8 march, and 2/4 march. She has studied under bagpipe maker Jerry Gibson of Gibson Bagpipes, Clark Abercrombie, and Alaister Murray. She has attended a variety of workshops with world renown pipers and attended the Ohio Scottish Art School for 3 years. Along with her bagpipe studies, she has also studied coursework in music theory, sight reading, pedagogy, and rhythm. She has taught music for several years and looks to continually advance herself as a bagpiper and teacher.
